Materico 1777 is a circus and hand-to-hand performance designed to be presented and interacted with urban spaces, creating visible dialogues with our colorful and playful universe.
We use Pong *, a plastic material that takes on infinite shapes, creates multiple imaginaries and creates the playful dimension in which we move. Nothing remains unchanged, everything changes and transforms itself into a continuous process in which our roles also change to finally “get involved” seriously!
Materico 1777 is structured in 3 acts that take place in different scenographic settings. The duration of each act varies between 10 and 20 minutes. The acts can be presented all in a row or alternated, allowing the exchange of the public (ex in the case of festival with a large influx of public).
The flexibility given by the structure in acts and the modular scenography (long strips in colored linoleum and Pong*) make the performance extremely adaptable to different contexts and places: street art festivals, circus festivals, site specific performance festivals, indoor festivals.
